Itinerary in detail :


Day 1:  Hanoi -Laocai  (420km – 10h00: by train)

• Pick up at your hotel and take you to Hanoi Railway Station for the night train at at 9:30 PM to get to Laocai Station.
• Overnight on train (air-conditioned soft sleeper).

Day 2: A real climb starts (L, D).

• Arrive in Lao Cat at 6:00 AM. Pick up at Laocai Station early in the morning by bus.
• Arrive at Sapa around 8:00 AM & have breakfast.
• Go to Cat Cat Village by car.
• From here, walk down to Cat Cat Valley at 1,100 m.
• Cross a river and from here it is uphill on narrow trails and through a small spectacular of a subtropical forest.
• Be aware of leeches on the first part of the trek.
• Set up camps at an altitude of around 2.000 m and food will be prepared on an open fire by the guide and porters.
• Dinner and Overnight in a camp.

• Walk through dense trails with bamboos (a 6-8 hour walk).
• Set up camps at the altitude of around 2.700 m.
• Dinner and Overnight in a camp.

• After breakfast, continue uphill.
• After a couple of walking hours, reach the top (at 2.900 m), admiring a nice view of Sapa and Fansipan.
• Start downhill to the camp at 2.600 m.
• Continue up on trails through dense bamboo forest and small bushes while camps are prepared by some of the porters and.
• Arrive at the Fansipan summit (at 3.143 m).
• If the weather is nice, all of the ways to China in the North and West and to Lao in the South can be seen fantastically.
• From here, walk straight back down to camps.
• Dinner and Overnight in a camp.
  

Day 5: Return to Sapa (B)

• Walk the same way back as we came up the mountain
• Arrive in Sapa in the afternoon.
• Dinner on your own.
• Overnight at hotel in Sapa.

• After breakfast, free time to discover Sapa town.
• 15h00: Take a visit by private car to Ta Phin village with the discovery of Red Dzao then go back to Laocai Station for the night train to Hanoi.
• Meals on your own.
• Overnight on train (air-conditioned soft sleeper).

• Arrive in Hanoi around 5h30, transfer to your hotel and have a breakfast.
